You probably think you know Kane pretty well. I mean, the guy has been in the WWE for more than 22 years and counting (and is the longest tenured wrestler), and we’ve all gotten to know him intimately...sometimes too intimately. But before we get into the lesser-known facts about the man, let’s talk about his background and review some of the more obvious aspects.
Kane made his wrestling debut in 1992 as Angus King, but changed gimmicks numerous times between then and when he eventually signed with the WWE in 1995. Even then, his character was altered and tweaked a few times before the promotion finally settled on the demonic monster known as Kane. The Big Red Machine was billed as the half-brother of The Undertaker, and was said to have set fire to his family’s funeral home as a deranged child, which claimed the lives of his parents. (Even though it was later revealed that ‘Taker actually started the blaze...and Paul Bearer was actually Kane’s father.) From there, the two siblings started an on-again, off-again feud with each other, where they were either mortal enemies or a tag team known as the Brothers of Destruction.
Eventually, Kane established himself as one of the biggest veterans in the biz and a hard worker who routinely battles through injuries. He has won numerous championships, broken or set a number of records, and eventually lost his mask, hair, and a lot of his spookiness - even acting as a comical character at times. Still, you should never trust a man who can summon fire at will. Now that all that is out of the way, let’s look at 15 things most fans don’t know about Kane.
